Rapax Spings Rapax One (1J Spring) RSS / TAC41 / SSG / VRS

The Rapax Springs Rapax One 1J Spring has been developed for sniper players who expect more from their bolt-action setup than just extra power. Whilst many traditional sniper springs result in a heavy bolt pull, fluctuating FPS values and reduced consistency after prolonged use, the Rapax One focuses instead on controlled performance, smooth cycling and long-term reliability. Particularly in CQB sniper builds and milsim loadouts, you’ll immediately notice the difference between a standard spring and a refined precision consistency upgrade like this one.
This spring has been specifically designed for popular 13mm sniper platforms such as the Silverback SRS, TAC41, Novritsch SSG series and upgraded VSR builds. Thanks to the lighter bolt pull, your rifle remains comfortable and quick to operate without compromising on consistent joule output. For players who play long sessions or fire a lot of follow-up shots, this results in noticeably greater control and less fatigue.
Usage scenarios
The Rapax One 1J Spring is ideal for sniper players who want to stay within strict joule limits whilst maintaining maximum consistency. Particularly on indoor CQB fields or in countries where a 1-joule limit applies, this spring offers a stable and reliable solution for controlled sniper performance.
In practice, we’ve noticed that many players using standard sniper springs struggle with heavy bolt-action cycling. Particularly with TAC41 and SRS builds, prolonged play can become quite taxing when the bolt offers significant resistance. The Rapax One significantly reduces this strain by combining a smoother bolt pull with stable power delivery.
You’ll also notice the benefits straight away during outdoor skirmishes and milsim events. When you’re lying in position for hours on end or engaging in multiple observation-based scenarios, you don’t want to constantly waste energy on a heavy bolt cycle. Thanks to the refined tuning, the rifle remains quicker and more comfortable to operate during follow-up shots.
At Airsoft-Legends, this spring is often combined with precision inner barrels, upgraded hop-up units and high-quality sniper BBs to ensure optimal shot consistency. You can find relevant upgrades in our sniper parts, precision barrels and hop-up upgrades categories, amongst others.
Materials and techniques
The Rapax One spring is manufactured in Europe and CNC-wound from high-quality steel wire. It is then subjected to a special tempering process and given an electroplated finish. This treatment not only protects against corrosion, but also reduces friction and wear within the cylinder assembly.
A key advantage of this is that the spring maintains stable performance over the long term. Many standard sniper springs lose tension over time, causing FPS and joule output to become less consistent. With the Rapax One, tolerances remain much more stable, resulting in more reliable performance in the long term.
In addition, the refined finish helps to reduce the familiar ‘twang’ effect that many sniper players find annoying. As a result, the entire bolt cycle feels quieter, smoother and more refined.
Compatible with, amongst others:
- Silverback SRS
- Silverback TAC41
- Novritsch SSG10 / SSG24 / SSG96
- VSR platforms with 13mm springs
- Similar sniper systems
Practical experience
Particularly with upgraded TAC41 and SRS builds, you’ll immediately notice how much smoother this spring operates compared to traditional sniper springs with similar power output. The bolt has to absorb significantly less force, making cycling feel faster and more comfortable during intense gameplay.
Many players find that cheaper sniper springs produce inconsistent Joule values, particularly after prolonged use. In practice, however, the Rapax One continues to perform remarkably consistently, even during long outdoor events or milsim weekends where reliability is crucial.
When firing precision shots at longer ranges, you’ll also notice that consistent power delivery has a direct impact on BB flight stability. This spring is particularly useful in carefully tuned sniper builds, helping to maintain consistent shots and predictable performance within a 1-joule setup.
