The Pirate Arms LiPo 7.4V 600mAh 20C PDW Kriss Vector Type T-Plug is a compact 2-cell LiPo battery for AEGs with limited battery space, including PDW and Kriss Vector platforms. The combination of 7.4 volts, a 20C discharge rate and a T-Plug supports a consistent firing cycle without wasting valuable space in the stock or receiver.

Where a conventional stick or block battery is simply too large, this model makes the most of the limited battery space available in compact replicas. This prevents wiring from being folded over, connectors from coming under strain, or the battery cover from coming loose whilst in motion. With a PDW in particular, every millimetre counts.

Compact power supply for PDW and Kriss Vector

This battery is primarily intended for Krytac Kriss Vector AEGs and similar compact platforms. Its specific size makes it ideal for CQB replicas, telescopic PDW stocks and receivers where there is hardly any space left alongside the wiring.

The 600mAh capacity does, however, call for realistic expectations. This is not a battery that will allow every player to comfortably last the whole of a skirmish. For semi-only CQB use, the runtime is perfectly suited to shorter games, but with a high rate of fire or intensive use, a second charged battery is advisable. The compact size is a deliberate choice here; maximum capacity is not.

Trigger response and current output

The 7.4V voltage ensures a controlled motor speed and is therefore suitable for most standard and lightly modified AEGs. Compared with an 11.1V LiPo, the rate of fire is lower and the drivetrain is generally subjected to less stress. This makes this battery a logical choice when reliability and control are more important than achieving the highest possible cycle rate.

With a capacity of 600mAh and a discharge rate of 20C, the theoretical continuous current output is approximately 12 amps. This is sufficient for many standard Kriss Vector and PDW configurations, but less suitable for heavily upgraded builds featuring strong springs, high-torque motors or a high inrush current. A common mistake is to look only at the voltage; the current requirements of the motor and gearbox are at least as important in determining whether a battery is suitable for the setup.

During normal use, the main benefits are consistent cycles and a predictable trigger response. As soon as a LiPo battery becomes deeply discharged, the replica’s response will deteriorate. Replace the battery in good time and, ideally, use a MOSFET with undervoltage protection.

T-Plug for an efficient connection

The T-Plug, also known as a Deans connector, generally has lower contact resistance than a standard Mini-Tamiya connector. As a result, less energy is lost in the connector and the power supply remains more consistent under load. With a compact replica, there is another practical advantage: a well-soldered T-Plug takes up relatively little space and can be concealed without the need for a large cable harness.

Before purchasing, do check that the replica actually uses a T-Plug. An adapter to Mini-Tamiya adds extra length and contact points, which is exactly what you want to avoid in a cramped battery compartment. The polarity must also match; do not rely solely on the shape or colour of the connector.

How this battery solves the problem within a compact loadout

A battery that is too large causes more than just a battery cover that is difficult to close. Cables may rub against sharp edges, balancing cables may become pinched whilst the cover is being closed, and the pulling force on the connector may ultimately damage a solder joint. If you change the battery regularly, it is therefore advisable to disconnect the battery from the connector housing and never to pull on the wiring.

Thanks to its light weight, this 600mAh battery adds hardly any bulk to the rear of the replica. On short CQB platforms, this keeps the balance responsive, which is useful for quick shoulder changes and manoeuvring the weapon around barricades. Pair it with a suitable LiPo charger, a LiPo safety bag and, if required, a compact LiPo voltage checker to monitor the condition of both cells.

A second practical consideration is heat. If the battery becomes noticeably warm during use, the powertrain is likely drawing more current than this compact 20C model can comfortably supply. In that case, stop shooting and check the gearbox, motor settings and choice of battery; heat is not a sign that a battery is ‘working hard’.

Who is and isn’t it suitable for?

This Pirate Arms LiPo is ideal for players who use a compact AEG with a T-Plug and are primarily looking for a battery that can be fitted into a small battery compartment without the need for forced cable routing. For a standard Krytac Kriss Vector, a PDW with a short stock or a CQB replica with moderate power requirements, the combination of 7.4V and 20C is both practical and straightforward.

If you’re using a replica with a spacious battery compartment, a larger 7.4V LiPo battery will generally provide more running time for a comparable investment. For a heavily modified gearbox or a build that demonstrably requires more than approximately 12 amps continuously, a battery with a higher capacity and discharge rate is preferable. Always check what the MOSFET, wiring and motor can handle.

Key features

  • Compact PDW format: makes use of small battery compartments without having to fold the cables tightly or close the lid under tension.
  • 7.4V LiPo configuration: provides a controlled cycle rate for standard and slightly modified AEG powertrains.
  • 600mAh with a 20C discharge rate: theoretically provides approximately 12 amps of continuous current for compact replicas with moderate power requirements.
  • T-Plug connection: reduces contact resistance and eliminates the need for the extra cable length associated with a separate adapter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this battery fit in any Krytac Kriss Vector?
Not necessarily. Check the available battery compartment, the exact dimensions of the battery, the type of connector and the cable clearance. The model, cabling and any modifications may affect the available space.
Can I play for a full day of gaming with a 600mAh battery?
That depends on firing rate, motor efficiency, temperature and gearbox load. For intensive CQB use, we recommend carrying at least one identical spare battery.
Is 7.4V suitable for an upgraded AEG?
It often is for minor upgrades, provided the current draw remains within the battery’s capacity. For strong springs, high-torque motors or high-speed builds, a battery with a higher C-rating or capacity is usually a better choice.
What is the advantage of a T-Plug over a Mini-Tamiya?
A T-Plug generally has lower electrical resistance and a more secure contact surface. This reduces voltage loss, provided the connector is soldered correctly and remains clean.
Which charger do I need for this LiPo?
Use a balance charger suitable for 2S LiPo batteries and connect both the main connector and the balance plug in accordance with the charger’s instructions. Charge the battery on a fire-resistant surface and preferably inside a LiPo-safe bag.

Are you looking for a compact power source that actually fits into a compact PDW setup? Check the dimensions and connection type of your replica and choose the Pirate Arms LiPo 7.4V 600mAh 20C PDW Kriss Vector Type T-Plug when a snug fit, controlled trigger response and efficient cabling are your top priorities.
