The Helikon-Tex MBDU Shirt® NyCo Ripstop Coyote forms part of the Modern Battle Dress Uniform (MBDU®) and has been developed for users engaged in prolonged operations in tactical environments. The shirt combines high durability with excellent freedom of movement and is designed for airsoft, military training, reconnaissance missions and outdoor activities.

Thanks to its ergonomic fit, the use of NyCo Ripstop and the elasticated VersaStretch® panels, the shirt offers a high level of comfort during intense physical activity. It can be worn on its own or combined with other items from the MBDU uniform system, such as the MBDU Trousers.

Designed for intensive tactical use

The MBDU Shirt is made from NyCo Ripstop, a material that has proven itself in operational use thanks to its excellent balance between durability and comfort. Nylon ensures high abrasion and tear resistance, whilst cotton enhances comfort during prolonged use. Thanks to the ripstop weave, any damage does not spread further, which significantly extends the shirt’s lifespan.

Wide VersaStretch® panels have been incorporated along both sides of the shirt. This four-way stretch fabric moves naturally with the body and prevents the shirt from riding up or restricting freedom of movement. Furthermore, the breathable structure of VersaStretch® aids temperature regulation during prolonged exercise and in warm conditions.

Mesh panels have been incorporated under the armpits to provide extra ventilation, allowing heat and moisture to be wicked away more effectively during intense activities. The anatomically cut design follows the natural shape of the body for an optimal fit whilst moving.

Functional design with clever storage solutions

The MBDU Shirt has been designed based on practical experience gained during training and in operational use. The classic collar can easily be converted into a stand-up collar and fastened with Velcro for extra protection of the neck. The cuffs are also adjustable with Velcro, ensuring that the sleeves stay firmly in place whilst on the move.

The shirt fastens with concealed Canadian buttons, which are renowned for their durability and reliability. In addition, the shirt features four functional pockets with durable YKK® zips: two spacious, expandable chest pockets for documents or other essential equipment, and two upper-arm pockets with internal attachment loops for securing dummy cords or small accessories.

For personalisation, the shirt features a comprehensive system with double Velcro panels on the shoulders and above the breast pockets for name, unit, flag and IFF patches. There is also a special rank tab in the centre of the chest for attaching military rank insignia.

The PL Woodland, MultiCam Black™ and Flecktarn colour variants feature additional pockets for inserting soft protectors. This feature is not available on the Coyote version.
