Specna Arms CORE™ 1-6X24 Riflescope Tan

Are you looking for a versatile riflescope that will serve you well at both short and medium ranges? The Specna Arms CORE™ 1-6x24 Tan Riflescope combines a variable magnification of 1x to 6x with an illuminated Etched Glass reticle, 11 brightness settings and a sturdy 30 mm tube. This makes this optic particularly suitable for assault rifles, DMR builds and other airsoft replicas where you need to be able to switch quickly between a wide field of view and higher magnification.
The scope is finished in Tan and features a red illuminated reticle, a correction value of 1/2 MOA per click and a specified adjustment range of ±45 MOA. It also comes with a Killflash honeycomb reticle, a magnification lever and a mount. With FMC-coated lenses, IPX4 water resistance and a stated shock resistance of 1000G, this is a comprehensively equipped optic within the Specna Arms CORE™ series.
Why choose the Specna Arms CORE™ 1-6x24 Tan Riflescope?
The main advantage of a 1–6x riflescope is its versatility. At 1x magnification, you retain a good overview and can react relatively quickly, whilst you can increase the magnification to a maximum of 6x when you want to get a better view of more distant targets or positions. This means you don’t have to choose straight away between a red dot sight for short distances and a high-magnification riflescope for longer distances.
This flexibility comes in particularly handy on larger outdoor fields. The combination of variable magnification, an illuminated reticle and the magnification lever supplied makes it possible to quickly adjust the scope to different situations during a skirmish.
Variable magnification from 1x to 6x
The zoom level can be adjusted between 1x and 6x. The lower zoom levels are particularly suitable when speed and an overview are important. If you need more detail, you can increase the zoom level to view players, barricades and positions further away more easily.
To make it easier to switch between magnification settings, a magnification lever is included. This provides extra grip on the magnification ring, allowing you to switch settings more quickly during a skirmish.
Etched Glass reticle with 11 brightness settings
The Specna Arms CORE™ 1-6x24 features an Etched Glass reticle. This means the reticle is etched into the glass and therefore remains visible even when the electronic illumination is switched off or the battery runs out.
If you need extra contrast, the reticle can be illuminated in red. There are 11 brightness settings available for this, so you can adjust the intensity to suit the lighting conditions. A low setting can be useful in low light, whilst a higher setting may be more visible on a bright outdoor field.
Don’t automatically set it to the highest brightness level. An unnecessarily bright reticle can actually be distracting or appear less sharp. Thanks to the wide range of brightness levels available, you can find a setting where the reticle remains clearly visible without overpowering your target image.
24 mm objective lens and 30 mm tube
The telescope has a 24 mm objective lens and a central tube with a diameter of 30 mm. The latter measurement is particularly important if you ever wish to combine the telescope with a different mount. Any replacement mount must be suitable for a 30 mm tube.
With a stated length of approximately 26 cm, the scope remains more compact than many large, high-magnification sniper scopes. As a result, its size is well suited to assault rifles and DMR set-ups where you want magnification but don’t want to fit an extremely large optic.
Precise horizontal and vertical adjustment
The riflescope features horizontal and vertical adjustment for zeroing. According to the manufacturer, each click represents 1/2 MOA and the specified adjustment range is ±45 MOA.
In airsoft, it is important to adjust the scope only once your replica is firing consistently. This is because the hop-up has a significant effect on the trajectory of a BB. You should therefore first set the desired BB weight and the hop-up correctly, and only then begin zeroing the scope.
Eye relief van 108 mm
The specified eye relief is 108 mm. This is the distance between your eye and the rear of the scope at which you obtain a full and usable field of view.
Bear this in mind when mounting the scope. The correct position is determined not only by the space available on the rail, but above all by your natural shooting stance. Position the scope so that, from your normal stance, you can quickly get a full view without having to move your head unnaturally forwards or backwards.
Wide field of view at low magnification
The specified field of view at 100 yards is 116.2 to 19.2 feet, depending on the magnification setting used. At lower magnification settings, you therefore retain a considerably wider field of view than when the scope is set to 6x.
In airsoft, it is therefore often practical to play at a relatively low magnification as standard. If you want to observe a position further away or are finding it difficult to make out an opponent, you can then temporarily switch to a higher magnification.
FMC-coated lenses
According to the manufacturer, the lenses feature an FMC (Fully Multi-Coated) coating. These coatings are designed to enhance light transmission and optical performance, and to reduce unwanted reflections.
The product information also mentions a focus adjustment. When fitting the device for the first time, therefore, take the time to adjust not only the magnification and zero setting, but also the focus correctly to ensure a clear and comfortable view.
Killflash honeycomb inbegrepen
The riflescope comes with a Killflash honeycomb. This honeycomb structure is fitted to the front of the optic and is designed to reduce visible reflections from the objective lens. This can be a particularly useful addition in bright sunlight.
It is important to note that the manufacturer does not specify a particular BB impact rating for this Killflash. You should therefore not automatically regard it as guaranteed protection against direct BB impact. If you wish to protect the front lens specifically against BBs, we recommend using a suitable airsoft lens protector.
IPX4 and a stated shock resistance of 1000G
The riflescope has a stated IPX4 rating. This means the optic is protected against water splashes from various directions, which is useful if you encounter rain or damp conditions during an outdoor skirmish. However, IPX4 does not mean that the scope is suitable for complete submersion.
Specna Arms also specifies a shock resistance of 1000G. According to the manufacturer, this makes the construction strong enough to function not only with airsoft but also with, amongst others, .22LR and .223 Rem. For airsoft, this primarily means that the optic is designed with a high degree of mechanical robustness.
Includes mounting for Weaver/Picatinny/RIS
The riflescope comes with a mount, and the specified rail compatibility includes Weaver, Picatinny and RIS. This means that, if you have a compatible replica, you do not need to purchase a separate scope mount straight away.
An Allen key and an assembly key are also included for fitting and adjustment. Together with the magnification lever and Killflash, this makes the package pretty comprehensive.
Tan version for different builds
This version is finished in Tan and therefore goes well with replicas and loadouts that feature FDE, Coyote, Tan or similar earth tones. On a black replica, the optic can actually provide some contrast.
Measuring approximately 26 cm in length and weighing around 690 grams, it is certainly a substantial optic. Bear this extra weight in mind if you have already fitted several accessories to your replica.
Practical tip
Mount the scope whilst holding the replica in your normal shooting stance and use the 108 mm eye relief to determine the correct position. Then, first adjust your BB weight and hop-up correctly before zeroing the scope. Whilst playing, it is best to keep the magnification relatively low and only increase it when you actually need more detail.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a 1–6x riflescope a better choice than a red dot sight for airsoft?
That depends mainly on where and how you play. If you play almost exclusively CQB at close range, a compact red dot sight is usually quicker and lighter. If you play mainly outdoors and the distances vary regularly, a 1-6x scope offers more options. You can keep the magnification low for a broad overview and increase it when you want to get a better look at a player or position further away.
Does 6x magnification really offer any added value in airsoft?
Yes, but mainly for identifying and observing targets. A 6x magnification does not make your replica shoot any further. It does, however, help you to better assess, from a greater distance, whether you are actually seeing an opponent, where someone is taking cover, and where your BBs are landing. In many situations, you probably won’t need the full 6x magnification all the time.
Is this scope suitable for a DMR build?
Yes, this is precisely one of the scenarios where a 1–6x scope can be useful. On a DMR, you can use a low magnification setting when opponents are closing in and switch to a higher magnification for observation at longer ranges. Do bear in mind, however, that it will add approximately 690 grams to the weight of your replica.
Can I use this scope whilst wearing a mesh mask or other face protection?
Yes, you can, but the combination of mount height, stock and face protection determines how comfortable this is. A larger mask may prevent you from getting your cheek close enough to the stock to get properly behind a low-mounted scope. Therefore, if possible, test your natural shooting stance and adjust the mount height accordingly. The 108 mm eye relief then provides an important starting point for the position of the scope on the rail.
Do I need a separate scope mount?
Not necessarily. A mount for Weaver/Picatinny/RIS is already included. If you want to position the scope higher or lower, or use a different type of mount, you can choose a different mount at a later date. Please ensure that it is suitable for the 30 mm tube of the scope.
Does the Killflash supplied with the glasses protect my lens from BBs?
We wouldn’t rely on that. The manufacturer does not specify a BB impact rating for the Killflash. The Killflash is primarily designed to reduce reflections from the front lens. For protection against direct BB impact, we recommend a separate lens protector that is explicitly suitable for airsoft use.
Advice from Airsoft-Legends
The Specna Arms CORE™ 1-6x24 Tan Riflescope is particularly appealing to players who want more flexibility than a traditional red dot sight offers, but do not need a large sniper scope with extreme magnification. The 1-6x magnification range is well suited to outdoor airsoft: at the lower settings, you retain a good overview, whilst you can use the higher magnification when you want to get a better look at players or positions further away.
We consider the Etched Glass reticle to be a key feature. The reticle remains usable without electronic illumination, whilst the red illumination – with 11 brightness settings – allows you to create extra contrast when conditions require it. The magnification lever also makes it easier to switch quickly between different magnification settings whilst playing.
The overall package is also quite comprehensive. As well as the scope, you get a mount, a Killflash, a magnification lever and the necessary mounting tools. The 30 mm tube, FMC coating, IPX4 rating and stated shock resistance of 1000G round off the package.
Do bear in mind that it weighs approximately 690 grams. For an ultra-light CQB build, we’d be more inclined to look at a compact red dot sight. For an outdoor assault rifle or DMR where you regularly switch between short and longer engagement distances, the 1-6x concept really comes into its own.
