Do you play with a sniper replica and want to see more detail at longer ranges? The Specna Arms CORE™ 6-24x50 AOEG Riflescope Black is a powerful riflescope that really comes into its own on airsoft sniper rifles and other replicas primarily used for longer ranges. With a variable magnification range of 6x to as much as 24x, you can precisely adjust the scope to suit the distance and situation.

The scope combines this wide magnification range with a 50 mm objective lens, a Mil-Dot reticle and illumination in red, green or blue. Each colour has three brightness settings. In addition, the reticle can be adjusted both horizontally and vertically, and a mount for Weaver/Picatinny/RIS rails is included.

Why choose the Specna Arms CORE™ 6-24x50 AOEG Riflescope?

Whilst a 1–4x or 1.5–5x scope is primarily designed for versatility, this 6–24x50 AOEG clearly prioritises magnification.

The minimum magnification starts at 6x and can be increased to a maximum of 24x. This means that this scope is primarily intended for players who want to be able to see more distant targets more clearly.

This can be particularly useful for a sniper replica. You can use the lower magnification settings to maintain a broader view and then zoom in further when you want to observe a specific area or target more closely.

Variable magnification from 6x to 24x

The key feature of this riflescope is its wide 6–24x magnification range.

At 6x, you already have considerably greater magnification than with a standard red dot or LPVO. If you want to see more detail, you can gradually increase the magnification up to a maximum of 24x.

This makes this scope useful not only for aiming, but also for observing areas further away on the pitch.

Please bear in mind that a higher magnification does not automatically mean that your airsoft replica can shoot further. The magnification mainly helps you to see targets and details more clearly at a distance. The actual effective range will still depend on your replica, hop-up, BB weight and settings.

Large 50 mm lens

The Specna Arms CORE™ 6-24x50 AOEG has a 50 mm objective lens.

A larger objective lens is well suited to a rifle scope with a high magnification range and gives this rifle scope its distinctive sniper look.

As a result, the scope is larger than the more compact models in the CORE™ series. The stated length is approximately 40 cm and the weight is approximately 650 grams.

When mounting it on a sniper replica, it is therefore advisable to take into account both the extra weight and the space available on the rail.

Mil-Dot reticle

The scope uses a Mil-Dot reticle for aiming.

As well as the central aiming point, a Mil-Dot reticle provides you with several additional reference points. In airsoft, these can come in handy once you know how the BB trajectory of your replica behaves at different ranges.

For example, if you have zeroed the scope at a particular distance, you can learn which reference points are useful when a target is closer or further away.

This makes the Mil-Dot reticle particularly appealing to sniper and DMR players who know their replica well and consistently use the same BBs.

Illuminated crosshairs in red, green and blue

The reticle can be illuminated in three different colours:
 • Red
 • Green
 • Blue

This allows you to adjust the colour to suit your personal preference and the background you’re focusing on.

This can be particularly useful when a standard dark reticle does not provide sufficient contrast against the background. Think, for example, of dark woodland areas or conditions with low ambient light.

According to the manufacturer, the lighting makes the Optic suitable for use both during the day and at night.

Three brightness settings

There are three brightness settings available for the lighting.

This allows you to adjust the intensity to suit the lighting conditions. In a dark environment, a lower setting is often more comfortable, whilst in brighter conditions, greater brightness may be required to ensure the reticle remains clearly visible.

It is not usually necessary to use the highest brightness setting by default. A reticle that is too bright can actually be distracting when you look through the scope.

You should therefore select the lowest setting at which the reticle remains clearly visible to you.

Adjustable horizontally and vertically

To adjust the scope correctly on your replica, the reticle can be adjusted both horizontally and vertically.

This allows you to adjust the aiming point to match the actual point of impact of your BBs.

With a sniper replica, consistent calibration is particularly important. After all, a scope may be perfectly zeroed in, but if your hop-up or BB trajectory is inconsistent, the point of impact will still be difficult to predict.

You should therefore always start by adjusting your replica correctly before zeroing the scope.

Of interest to airsoft sniper rifle enthusiasts

With a minimum magnification of 6x, this scope is clearly less suited to short distances.

On the other hand, with a sniper rifle replica, you have access to a much higher magnification than with a traditional 1–4x or 3–9x scope.

You can observe positions further away, get a better view of targets and adjust the magnification to suit the situation.

This can be particularly useful on larger outdoor fields when, as a sniper, you deliberately stay away from the action.

Also suitable for observation

The high maximum magnification of 24x isn’t just for aiming. You can also use the scope to observe parts of the playing field more closely.

This can be useful if you want to check, from a fixed position, whether there is any movement around a barricade, the edge of a wood or some other point further away.

It is also important to maintain realistic expectations. An airsoft replica will, of course, not have a greater effective range simply because you turn up the magnification.

Sometimes you can see the opponent perfectly clearly on 24x, whilst your BB has a completely different take on it.

Inclusief Weaver/Picatinny/RIS montage

The scope comes with a mount that allows it to be attached to a compatible Weaver/Picatinny/RIS rail.

This means you don’t need to buy separate mounting rings straight away.

An Allen key for assembly is also included.

Due to the length and weight of this optical unit, we recommend that you check carefully during installation to ensure that all fixing points are tightened evenly and securely.

Protective caps for the optics

When the scope is not in use, the lenses can be protected using the supplied lens caps.

These are particularly useful during storage and transport. They prevent the lenses from coming into direct contact with other equipment, for example in your rifle bag or hard case.

The manufacturer does not specify a specific BB impact rating for these protective caps in the information provided.

If you want to protect the front lens from direct BB impact during a skirmish, we therefore recommend using a suitable airsoft lens protector.

Part of the Specna Arms CORE™ range

The 6-24x50 AOEG is part of the Specna Arms CORE™ series, which features optics and mounts designed specifically for airsoft use.

This range offers various types of aiming aids to suit a variety of playing styles.

Whilst a red dot sight is primarily designed for speed at short ranges and a 1–4x scope offers greater versatility, this 6–24x50 is clearly at the other end of the spectrum.

This version is designed for players who want a high level of magnification and mainly use their replica at longer ranges.

Dimensions and weight

Due to its large 50 mm objective lens and extensive magnification range, this scope is considerably larger than a compact rifle optic.

The stated dimensions are approximately 40 × 6 × 8 cm and the weight is approximately 650 grams.

That’s something to bear in mind when putting together your replica. The size makes sense, particularly on a long sniper rifle, but on a compact rifle the optic can feel relatively large and heavy.

Practical tip

A higher magnification isn’t necessarily better. For example, start at 6x whilst playing and only increase the magnification when you actually need more detail. At very high magnifications, the field of view becomes narrower and it can be more difficult to quickly locate moving targets. Also, always adjust your hop-up and BB weight first before zeroing in your scope.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the magnification of the Specna Arms CORE™ 6-24x50 AOEG?
The scope has a variable magnification ranging from 6x to a maximum of 24x.

What does 6-24x50 mean?
The designation 6-24x indicates the magnification range. The 50 refers to the diameter of the objective lens, which is 50 mm.

Is this scope suitable for an airsoft sniper?
Yes. Thanks to its wide magnification range, this riflescope is particularly suitable for sniper replicas and other set-ups that are mainly used at longer ranges.

Does the scope have a Mil-Dot reticle?
Yes. The scope is fitted with a Mil-Dot reticle featuring multiple reference points.

Is the reticle illuminated?
Yes. According to the product description, the scope has an illuminated reticle.

What colours do the lights come in?
According to the product information, you can choose from red, green and blue.

How many brightness settings are there?
There are three brightness settings available.

Can the scope be adjusted horizontally and vertically?
Yes. The reticle can be adjusted both horizontally and vertically to zero in the scope on your replica.

Is a mounting bracket included?
Yes. A suitable rail mounting bracket is included.

On which rails can the scope be mounted?
The specified mounting compatibility is Weaver, Picatinny and RIS.

Are lens caps included?
Yes. The scope comes with protective caps for the optics.

Are the lens caps BB-proof?
The product information provided does not specify a BB impact rating. We therefore recommend using a suitable separate lens protector for protection during an airsoft skirmish.

Is 24x magnification necessary for airsoft?
Not necessarily. High magnification can be particularly useful for observation and for viewing more distant targets more accurately. In many situations, a lower magnification setting will be more practical because it provides a wider field of view.

Can I use this scope for CQB?
With a minimum magnification of 6x, this scope is not designed for CQB. For short distances, a red dot sight or an optic with a much lower minimum magnification is considerably more practical.

How heavy is this scope?
The stated weight is approximately 650 grams.

Advice from Airsoft-Legends

We would particularly recommend the Specna Arms CORE™ 6-24x50 AOEG Riflescope Black for a dedicated airsoft sniper build. The magnification range of 6x to 24x is considerably wider than that of more all-round scopes and gives you plenty of scope to observe areas further away on the playing field.

It is important not to automatically set the magnification to the maximum. In many airsoft scenarios, 6x or a slightly higher setting gives you a better overview. The higher magnification settings are particularly useful when you specifically want to see more detail.

The Mil-Dot reticle and the red, green and blue illumination make the scope even more adaptable to different conditions. The included mounting and lens caps round off the package.

Do bear in mind the size and weight, though. With a length of around 40 cm, a 50 mm objective lens and a weight of approximately 650 grams, this is by no means a small scope. On a long bolt-action sniper rifle, this is generally not a problem and it complements the rifle’s appearance perfectly.

So if you’re not looking for a compact, all-round scope, but rather a large rifle scope with high magnification for an airsoft sniper rifle, then this Specna Arms CORE™ 6-24x50 AOEG is an interesting choice.
